The Road Contractors Association has expressed doubt about the feasibility of achieving some plans outlined by the Minister of Roads and Highways Kwesi Amoako Attah.

At a media Briefing Sunday,  the Minister announced plans to construct 20 out of 25 interchanges across the country as well as six thousand kilometers of roads by 2024.

National Chairman of the Association, John Afful questioned the source of funding for the projects.

He welcomed the policy that contractors will now bear a five-year defect liability, which means that contractors will now be responsible for fixing damaged roads after the first 5 years of construction.

Mr. Afful said local road contractors are ready to assist government to implement the road construction targets.
