A Labour Consultant, Mr. Paschal Kaba says Ghanaian workers can also work remotely from home like their counterparts in Europe and elsewhere across the globe.

He explained that even though working remotely from home is idle, the in-out-in policy actually depends on the kind of work one does.

He further noted that the Covid-19 pandemic had given a clear idea as to how working remotely from home helps to reduce burden on workers.

Mr. Kaba said this on the GTV Breakfast Show on Monday, 7th, November 2022 when contributing to the topic: “Mitigating Economic Hardship on Workers Economic hardship: Is working from home an option?

“We in Ghana can also work remotely from home. it is not the time one must be at the office or workplace before he/she can do the same things they have to do and again it’s not as if everybody will not be at the post. Some will be in while some stay out.” The Labour Consultant reiterated.

Mr. Kaba stressed the need for Chief Executives, and business owners to come up with other measures that in a way will help cushion workers within this period.
And a policy like the in-out-in where some people will go to the office on a number of days, while others stay away for days but still work from where ever they are will at least cushion workers within this period.

Work according to him is not about an individual, but, a team of people. If it takes a team to work and one is not in the work should not suffer any setbacks.

The Labour Consultant maintained that the economic situation in the Sub-Sahara African region is getting precarious and it is becoming more difficult for workers to cope.

However, work must go on. We can’t decide to do the same old things we have been doing in some time past.
