Peduase Valley Resort has organised a Father’s Day party in honour of former President H.E John Agyekum Kufuor.
The celebration on Sunday, June 19, in Aburi was in recognition of his personal achievements, sacrifices, and dedication to humanity.
Speaking at the luncheon, former President Kufuor expressed appreciation and said he was surprised by the occasion.
“I am here to see all the beautiful people here. If this is a big conspiracy to tell me about myself, well, I say Thank you.”
The program brought together dignitaries such as Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia; Second Lady, Samira Bawumia, other personalities, and loved ones.
Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia commended the former president for the fatherly role he played in shaping his political career.
A citation and a portrait photo were presented to the former President of the Republic of Ghana by the Management of Peduase Valley Resort.
John Agyekum Kufuor (born 8 December 1938) is a Ghanaian politician who served as the President of Ghana from 7 January 2001 to 7 January 2009. He was also Chairperson of the African Union from 2007 to 2008.
