The Daily Graphic congratulates UNICEF and, CDD-Ghana on leading the way in rating the performance of MMDAs in the District League Table. The paper believes the time has come to look at the Table beyond the figures and rather explore ways of addressing the developmental gaps between rural and urban centres. It urges stakeholders such to study the League Table and incorporate findings into development planning at the grassroot to improve standards of living.

The Ghanaian Times welcomes the setting up of a Malaria Fund, which will help strengthen the fight against the disease. According to the paper, countries that have seen an improvement in the fight against malaria are those that have made funds readily available for the course. The Times urges stakeholders to do more public sensitization on the fund to ensure the resources are put into judicious use. This the paper believes will help achieve the desired outcomes when the fund becomes operational.
