Dancehall Artiste, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale, and three other accomplices are expected to reappear in court later today, October 26, 2021.
He was remanded into police custody by an Accra Circuit Court for one week.
The controversial artiste who pleaded not guilty to a charge of publication of false news was denied bail when he appeared before the court on October 21, 2021 On October 19, the artiste turned himself in after the police declared him wanted.
He allegedly fabricated a story that he had been shot and was receiving treatment, which turned out to be a hoax.
Three of his accomplices were charged with abetment of crime.
