Central Regional CID has arrested the District Chief Executive for Ajumako, Ransford Nyarko for assaulting a police officer, Frank Mensah, of the Otchiso Police Station.
The police officer lodged a complaint at the Ajumako Police station about the DCE’s assault.
According to him, he arrested a native of Otchiso who had assaulted another native’s grandson after a complaint was lodged to his station.
He said that after receiving a call from someone named Bob, the DCE came to the station with eight other persons who pounced on him and beat him up in the presence of two community assistant police officers on duty.
Speaking to the Media after the DCE’s arrest Central Regional Public Relations Officer, Irene Opong, said Mr. Nyarko is being investigated for assaulting a public officer.
