Director of Research at the Presidency, Victor Newman has passed on.
He is said to have died at the Legon hospital after a short illness at age 72. Mr. Newman was a founding member of the NPP.
He was appointed Director of Research at the Presidency in 2017. Mr. Newman was an Economist, Consultant, financial and research analyst and held a Bachelor of Science degree in Agric Economics, with postgraduate qualifications in development planning, budget and financial management.
He worked at the Economic Research and Planning Services of the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, Western Castings Limited, and the Ghana Exim Economic Consultants.
Until his death, Mr. Newman was the Director of Research for President Akufo-Addo’s electioneering. He was survived by a wife and four children.
