Head of Communications at the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA), Rhoda Appiah, says although the relevant institutions are yet to conclude investigations into what caused the death of the fishes, it is still collaborating with the on-going probe by the various entities, including the Environmental Protection Agency and the Fisheries Commission.

In the meantime, FDA says people should be circumspect by thoroughly examining fresh fish before consumption.

Speaking to GBCNEWS, Madam Appiah appealed to anyone still in possession of the dead mammals to release them to leaders in their communities to ensure its proper disposal to avoid any public health hazards.
