Former GJA President Edward Ameyibor dies

A former President of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), Edward Ameyibor has died. The Veteran Journalist died at the SSNIT Hospital in Accra after a short illness.

Mr Ameyibor worked with the Ghana News Agency. He was also the General Manager of the Tamale based Diamond FM. He also served as General-Secretary of the National Pensioners Association.

Mr Edward Ameyibor is known to have nurtured several young Journalists.

The GJA has lost one of it’s own and a number of tributes have been pouring in from people he mentored.
