The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has congratulated President Akufo-Addo, on his election as Chairman of ECOWAS.
President Akufo-Addo, was elected to the position yesterday (September 7), at the ongoing 57th ECOWAS Summit held in Niamey, Niger.
The Party in a Statement, said the election is a “testament of the great leadership acumen he has amply demonstrated over the years, particularly in this period of COVID-19, a pandemic, that has shuttered the world’s economy and destroyed livelihoods.
It adds that the honour conferred on President Akufo-Addo, is a vindication of the sterling performance of his government, in delivering on its social contract with the Ghanaian people and transforming the economy for all.
