The Northern Regional Police Command has initiated investigations into circumstances under which unidentified gunmen attacked Police officers and took away two rifles.
The Northern Regional Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Yussif Tanko, who disclosed this also, said that the Service is on a manhunt for the culprits.
According to eyewitnesses, on Monday at about 1 am, some unknown gunmen in a Toyota saloon car, attacked some Police officers on snap check duty at Kakpayili, a suburb of Tamale and made away with their rifles.
