NADMO officials Thursday, September 10, closed down the Pwalugu portion of the Bolgatanga Tamale highway to traffic for safety reasons.
According to GBC’s Northern regional correspondent, Murtala Issah, the officials claim they could not guarantee the safety of passengers and goods because some portions of the roads have been submerged in floodwaters.
He reports that though drivers were not happy with the directive, they had no choice but to comply.
