The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, has confirmed that some MPs have contracted Covid-19.
He however withheld the names of the said MPs and asked the house to take the COVID-19 protocols very seriously and observe them as such.
The parliamentary chamber is currently closed to visitors whiles sittings are taking place in a makeshift tent at the forecourt of the house.
Also, just about one-third of the 275 members are allowed to participate in the proceedings at a time while the others are to follow events online.
Addressing the house, the Speaker also expressed his displeasure at the more than 60 Members of Parliament who have failed to undergo the mandatory medical screening and the COVID-19 test.
