Stakeholders in the mining industry have emphasized the need to lift all restrictions on large scale mining in 2021 to ease the burden on families who depend on mining for survival.
This must be done in accordance with Covid-19 safety protocols. Executive Director of WACAM, an environmental mining advocacy NGO, Mrs Hannah Owusu Koranteng says putting in place periodic breaks will minimize the cycle of infection, especially in mining communities.
