Affail Monney hands over mantle to new GJA administration

The Former President of the Ghana Journalists Association, GJA, Mr. Affail Monney has officially handed over to the new leadership of the Association.

In a meeting to brief the incoming team, Mr. Monney outlined projects, programmes and contracts the Association entered into during his tenure.

Key among them are; training programmes in and outside the country with some institutions and Embassies, the Ghana International Press Centre Redevelopment Project also referred to as the Freedom House Project, efforts to build offices for the regional branches, identification cards for members as well as the Unionisation of the Association.

He encouraged, the Albert Kwabena Dwumfour led administration to pursue the unfinished projects, continue with ongoing programmes while championing their own vision for the GJA.

Mr. Monney prayed for the incoming team and advised them to work together in unity.

The new President Mr. Dwumfour thanked Mr. Monney for the handing over notes and for taking the new team through the programmes and projects undertaken during his administration.

He said the new leadership will get back to Mr. Monney if they need any clarification and briefs on some of the contracts the Association entered into in the past.

New GJA Leadership

Albert Kwabena Dwumfour is heading a 6-Member GJA Executive Body for a two term.

The others are Linda Asante Agyei; Vice President, Kofi Yeboah; General Secretary, Dominic Hlordzi; Organizing Secretary, Audrey Dekalu; Treasurer and Rebecca Ekpe; Public Affairs Officer.
