Minister for the North East Region, Solomon Boer has confirmed that calm has returned to Chereponi and factions involved in the clashes are observing a ceasefire.
A team of leaders from the Chokosi and Kokomba ethnic groups led by the Defence Minister, Dominic Nitiwul visited the area to appeal to their leaders to ceasefire after the clashes between the two groups led to the death of two persons and left many injured.
