The Executive Secretary of the Chamber of Petroleum Consumers Ghana, COPEC, Duncan Amoah, says although the strike by the Tanker Drivers Association has been called off it will still have some disruptions in fuel products in the country.
Mr. Amoah said it will take about 10 days for the situation to normalize.
“As they begin loading and they start transporting cargo across the country, you wouldn’t be able to get everything fixed in a day or two. It will take a minimum of ten days to normalize supplies to all other stations”
The four tanker unions, the Ghana National Petroleum Union, the Bulk Tanker Drivers Union, the Gas Tanker Drivers Union and the United Goil Tanker Drivers Association on Monday embarked on a nationwide strike citing poor roads to fuel depots across the country.

They suspended the industrial action after meeting the Roads and Highways and Transport Ministers.
Speaking to GBCNEWS, Mr. Amoah said already some dealers have run out of stock leading to long queues at the stations going into the weekend.
