Some workers at the Ghana Port and Harbours Authority, (GPHA), have expressed shock at the death of their colleague, the late Josephine Asante Public Relations and Marketing Officer of the Authority.

According to them, they received the news with shock as they had seen her barely in 24 hours.

They wondered what could have triggered the murder and called on the Tema Regional Police Command to investigate the matter to the latter.

Josephne Asante was murdered in her bedroom, Saturday night after she had returned from a party for Senior Staff.

Her assailants, according to reports, locked the bedroom and flung away the key as they made their getaway.

Asante’s body was found in a puddle of blood the next morning after her neighbours saw the key to her room on the compound and opened the door.

Those behind her murder are said to have been monitoring her movement that Saturday evening and followed her to her residence at Tema Community 25.

The murderers are said to have stabbed her with a knife and locked her in her bedroom and threw the keys to the bedroom on the compound.

The 12 year old son of the deceased together with other occupants of the house haven’t seen the late Josephine Asante for the whole night knocked her door but to no avail but later found her bedroom keys on the compound of the house.

The Tema Regional Police Command are yet to comment on the issue as they are said to be arranging for a press conference on the issue on Monday.

Residents close by the house of the deceased say they are leaving in fear as the beginning of the year seem to be frightening as murder cases seem to be increasing.
