The Minority Caucus in Parliament will this morning converge on the Obra Sport in Accra to embark on the ‘#OccupyBoG’ to protest against the Bank of Ghana’s Governor and his two deputies.

The Minority will march through some principal streets of Accra, to demand the resignation of the Central Bank Governor and his Deputies after the Bank recorded a 60.8 billion cedi loss in the 2022 fiscal year and the use of over 250 million dollars for the construction of a new headquarters.

The demonstration which was originally scheduled for Thursday, had to be rescheduled to today as police opposed to the original routes of the protest.

The Minority wanted to converge on the frontage of Parliament, and go through the Osu Cemetery Traffic Light, Ministry of Finance, High Court Complex, Kinbu, Makola, Rawlings Park, Opera Square to the Bank of Ghana (BoG) but the Police opposed it.

The blocked roads will be diverted through the Starlet Traffic Light through the Ministries Traffic Light to the Office of the Department of Urban Roads through National Lotteries, to link up with the AMA office Road to EOCO and take a detour back to the John Evans Atta Mills Highway at the old Parliament Traffic Light intersection.
