The Odweanoma Paragliding Field at Kwahu Atibie in the Kwahu South Municipality of the Eastern Region is set to fly visitors from the top of the mountain to the Nkawkaw Sports Stadium. When the news team visited the site, work was ongoing in anticipation of the upcoming event. Work was also ongoing on the construction of the road leading to the Paragliding Field.

In an interview, the District Chief Executive for Kwahu East, Isaac Agyapong disclosed that to improve sanitation during the festivities, his office, in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, Science and Technology and Zoomlion Ghana Limited, have provided waste bins placed at vantage points. He said new businesses that have sprung up in view of the festivities, will be charged Business Operating Permit levies for revenue generation. Mr. Agyapong cautioned drivers on reckless driving, and said security measures have been put in place ahead of the festivities.

Samuel Adongowho is part of organisers of the Kwahu Easter festivities said the Easter festivities, especially at Kwahu, brings a lot of economic benefits to businesses in the Municipality. He said the two-year absence due to Covid-19, affected businesses and hoped for better returns this year.
