The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has joined members of St. Mark Anglican Church at Kyebi in the Eastern Region to inaugurate the newly created Kyebi Anglican Archdeaconry carved from Kwahu-Obo.
The Archdeaconry will see to the spread of the Gospel throughout Akyem enclave.
The Bishop of Koforidua Diocese of the Anglican church, Rt. Rev. Felix Odei Annancy, charged leaders of the Archdeaconry to work hard to establish more branches in the area.
He exhorted President Akufo-Addo to continue to strengthen his faith in God to lead him to deliver the country from its recent hardship.
Addressing the Congregants, President Akufo-Addo urged Ghanaians to continue to trust his government as he will soon deliver the country from its woes.
The Okyenhene, Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin spoke against the galamsey menace bedeviling the country and urged what he called the ‘big men’ behind galamsey activities to desist from it.
