The Special Prosecutor has commenced a full-scale investigation into suspected corruption and corruption-related offences in respect of auction sales of vehicles and goods by the customs divisions of the Ghana Revenue Authority between July 1, 2017, to August 15, 2022.

The special prosecutor has therefore directed the commissioner of the customs divisions to immediately halt and discontinue all auction sales till the investigation is concluded.

This comes just about a week after the special prosecutor demanded from the same institution to furnish him with documents relating to all rulings and benchmark values applied within the same period.

All these come at the back of the OSP’s findings of alleged corrupt dealings involving the Labianca Group and the Customs Division.
