51-year-old watchman, Mallam Issah Ibrahim, has been jailed by the Tepa district court in the Ahafo Ano North municipality.

The court presided over by Madam Lilian Kankam, arrived at a judgment of a one-month imprisonment for beating his third wife with an iron rod.

It was reported that a quarrel erupted in his house when his second wife called the third wife barren. In retaliation, the third wife who was deeply offended called the second wife a prostitute.

Upon reaching home, Mallam Issah Ibrahim was offended when he heard that the third wife has branded the second wife as a prostitute. He beat her with an iron rod.

He was reported to the Tepa police and was further charged and prosecuted.
