Qatar Airways Flight QR 1423 with some Ghanaian Students stranded in Ukraine has arrived from Romania at the Kotoka International Airport. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Kwaku Ampratwum-Sarpong and Deputy Minister of Information Fatima Abubakari are leading a government delegation to welcome the students from Ukraine.

The expected arrival of the first batch of 220 students was delayed for about 15 minutes as families of the students waited anxiously to welcome their relatives. One of such is Daniel who came all the way from Tarkwa with his sister to welcome his niece from Ukraine. He told Our Correspondent Nathaniel Nartey who is stationed at the Airport earlier that news of the arrival of his niece has brought ”joy to the family”.
