The Winners of the 2022 National Science and Maths Quize, Presbyterian Boys Secondary School has presented its trophy to President Akufo-Addo at a brief Ceremony at the Jubilee House.

The Seventh time Champions were accompanied by its Headmaster, David Odjidja, Quize Mistress Professor Elsie Effah Kaufmann, the contestants and other old students of the School.

President Akufo-Addo encouraged them to study hard and refrain from activities that will hinder their prospect of a bright future.

It has become an annual tradition since President Akufo-Addo became President of the Republic for Winners of the National Science and Maths Quize to visit Jubilee House. Before the introduction of the free SHS, the average number of Students admitted to PRESEC every year was 800.

The population of the current form one students alone is over 2000.

The free SHS according to the Headmaster of PRESEC has changed the enrolment of the students population in the school. The Head of Master of PRESEC, David Odjidja, therefore appealed to the government to provide the school with a 12 Unit Science laboratory to match its status as a predominantly science students and also the increasing students population.

President Akufo-Addo applored the contestants, Alfred Ken Nsiah, John Anim Temkorang, and Austin Afutu for annexing the trophy. As an Honorary old students President Akufo-Addo shared in their joy of the school.

He said Mathematics is the foundation of the new sciences of the 21st century and its mastering by the youth will be a major contribution to the development of Ghana. He asked the current students of PRESEC to seize the opportunities the school offers and refrain from activities that will hinder their progress.

Organisers of the Quize, Prime Time Events used the opportunity to appeal for the outstanding sponsorship to be cleared.
