Government to implement Policies to enhance favourable business environment

Government is to collaborate with the Ghana Employers Association to develop and implement Policies that will help reduce the cost of doing business.

President Akufo-Addo, who announced this in Accra when he inaugurated an office complex for the Association, noted that the Policies will enhance competitiveness, encourage investors and create decent employment opportunities.

The imposing edifice will serve as a central nerve of the operation of the Association, providing a conducive environment for employers to convene, deliberate and make decisions that will shape the future of industries.

The House stands as a symbol of unity, and a beacon that promote peaceful industrial relations, dialogue and understanding between employers and other social partners. It has modern facilities such as conference room equipped for high level meetings and negotiations, training rooms and offices that will serve as operational hub.

President Akufo-Addo said his government is deeply committed to create an environment where businesses will strive.

He commended the GEA for being a true partner in advocating for a sound economic and social policies, promoting best labour practices and providing support to businesses. He urged all employers to use the structure to its full potential and be a hub for networking, knowledge sharing and the development of grand breaking events.

The Minister of Labour and Pensions, outlined some projects being undertake by his ministry.
