NPP Presidential Hopefuls: Balloting for positions, July 24

The Vetting Committee of the New Patriotic Party led by Former Speaker of Parliament Mike Oquaye has submitted its report to the General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong. 

Ten aspirants who successfully filed their nominations were vetted between Monday, July 3 and Thursday, July 6, 2023.

The aspirants are Former Minister of Trade and Industry Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, Energy Expert Kojo Nsafoah Poku and Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia. 

The others are Francis Addai-Nimoh Kennedy, Ohene Agyapong, Kwabena Adjei Agyapong, and Joe Ghartey. 

The result of the vetting is scheduled to be published on Friday, July 21, 2023, ahead of balloting on Monday, July 24, 2023.

Acknowledging receipt of the report, General Secretary Justin Frimpong reaffirmed national leadership’s commitment to ensuring a free, fair, peaceful, and transparent election process.
