Voting within the Assin North Constituency has ended at all polling stations. Counting underway.
The Police say it recorded some incidents, including an allegation of an individual shooting into the air.
According to the Police, no person or vehicle has been shot at within the Constituency. It added that all the recorded incidents are being investigated, and have also arrested some suspects who are in custody and assisting with investigation.
The Police Service assured that adequate personnel have been deployed throughout the Constituency to ensure security, law and order for the remaining period of the election and beyond.
It, therefore, urged all stakeholders to redouble their commitment to work with the Police to ensure a peaceful election, especially as the exercise draws to a close.
