Former Black Stars Goalkeeper, Fatau Dauda, says the crucial first leg World Cup Qualifier between the Black Stars of Ghana and the Super Eagles of Nigeria on Friday, 25th March, 2022 will be a game of pride and attitude.
He believes although statistics favour Nigeria, Ghana has an advantage of playing the first leg on home soil.

“For now if you go on paper Nigeria is ahead of us but Nigeria and Ghana is a game of Pride, it’s a game of attitude and character like Hearts and Kotoko when it comes to the local League, we don’t play with form”., he said.

The former Black Stars Goalkeeper was speaking on GBC Sports + football programme “Saving our Passion”.

He noted any game between the Black Stars and Nigeria sparks some interest among citizens of the two countries, adding that already social media platforms are flooded with messages on the match.

“I think a lot of people will keep an eye on this game. Both Nigeria and Ghana if you follow social media there are lots of things going on there, they are making fun, but they’re taking the matter seriously, because of the records at hand they are taking the matter seriously”, he opined.

Fatau Dauda, maintained victory for Ghana on Friday, predicting a qualification for the World Cup.

“I think we’re playing home first is good because the boys when they go out they play good, so if we are able to get good results in Kumasi tomorrow, I’m very sure we will do well in Nigeria”, according to the Former Black Stars Goal Keeper.
