Deputy Minister of Health, Kingsley Aboagye Gyedu has entreated Civil Society Organisations to explore opportunities in the private sector, both locally and externally, to complement government’s effort in the fight against HIV, TB and malaria.
Speaking at this year’s Civil Society Organisation forum, Mr. Gyedu said when this is properly done it will curtail the effects of the dwindling donor support being experienced globally and boost gains made in the national response to the three ailments.
Funding HIV, TB and malaria from government and donor partners has dwindled significantly in the recent past.
The 2018 Civil Society Organisation’s forum under the auspices of the Ghana HIV/AIDS Network (GHANET) therefore serves as a platform to strengthen partnership between government and stakeholders in the health sector to deal with the menace.
