More than six thousand Police officers of the ranks of Inspector, Sergeant, Corporal, Lance Corporal and Constable have been promoted.
The Inspector-General of Police confirmed the promotions which took effect from January 1, 2020.
About 390 Inspectors have also been promoted to Chief Inspectors backdated to July 1, 2019, as a result of administrative adjustments.
In a social media post, the Police administration wished the newly promoted officers well.
