Old students of Koforidua Nurses Training College donate to Eastern Regional Hospital

The Old Students Association of the Koforidua Nurses Training College (NTC), as part of activities the marking the forty years anniversary of the school, donated health equipment, drugs, exercise books and provision worth more than a thousand pound to the Pediatric Unit of the Eastern Regional Hospital in Koforidua to cater for the wellbeing of the patients.

The leader of the association who is also an Interventional Radiology Nurse of Queens Hospital in London, Mrs. Augustina Addison noted that there are a lot of challenges facing the Pediatric Unit, hence the donation.

She added that this will not be a nine-day wonder but a consistent approach to cater for the children properly.

Mrs. Augustina Addison called on the association members to help put resources together to help improve the health sector.

She advised the students that they owe humanity their care and must be serious with their studies.

On her part, the Senior Health Service Administrator of the Regional Hospital, Abena Aboagyewaa Amoah thanked the old students for their contribution towards the Pediatric Unit and encouraged them to do more.

She appealed to all stakeholders, individuals, NGO’s and the government to provide the Unit with more clinical monitors and beds.
