A Bioscientist and Lecturer at the Department of Biotechnology of the University for Development Studies, Dr. Courage Sabah, has urged government to focus on the production of effective and affordable hand sanitisers for citizens instead of the fumigation it is embarking on.
He said the effects of fumigation will not last long, because surfaces could easily be reinfected within hours.
Dr. Sabah in an interview with GBC’s Radio Ghana, also expressed concern about the potential effect of fumigation on consumables and urged market women to take the necessary precautions to safeguard their wares.
