VRA, others contribute to Covid-19 National Trust Fund

The Volta River Authority (VRA) has presented a cheque for two Million cedis to the Covid-19 National Trust Fund to support efforts at fighting the corona scourge.

The Board Chairman of VRA, Kwaku Awotwi accompanied by the  CEO, Emmanuel Antwi-Darkwa, made the donation to the Trust Fund at the Jubilee House in Accra.

Those who also made donations were: Alpha Lotto Limited, GHc100,000; the Association of Oil Marketing Companies,  GHc 100,000 and  Polytex Industries, GHc50,000.

Also  at the Jubilee House to make  presentations were : Aglow International Prayers ,  a cheque  for 20,000cedis, Frankatson Limited , 30,000 cedis and a Fumigation Machine worth Four 4,400 cedis.

The Church of Pentecost donated 100,000 cedis,  and Betonsa Ghana Limited, a Pre mix Concrete Factory,  also  donating 100,000 cedis.

The Chairperson of the Covid-19 Trust Fund, former Chief Justice , Sophia Akufo expressed the President’s appreciation for  the  kind gesture, and gave the assurance that the monies and the products will be put to good use.
