Muslims begin Ramadan under lockdown

Most Muslims around the world will observe the holy month of fasting under lockdown. But Islamic authorities in the Indonesian province are going against central guidelines by allowing mass prayers.

In Pakistan, Ramadan begins tomorrow, but there is already controversy as clerics demand exemption from lockdown measures.

Egypt will ease lockdown for Ramadan by shortening a night-time curfew and allowing some businesses to reopen.

In the US, Congress has passed a four hundred and 84 billion dollar coronavirus relief bill to help businesses, hospitals and testing.

US President Donald Trump said British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson sounded “incredible” after his recovery from the virus.

EU leaders have also agreed to inject billions of Euros of emergency aid into Europe’s struggling economies.
