More than 400 structures to be pulled down for construction of Pwalugwu Dam

More than four hundred structures have been earmarked to be affected by the construction of the Pwalugwu Multipurpose Dam project in both North-East and Upper East Regions.

This was revealed by the Volta River Authority (VRA).

The estimated cost involved in resettlement and compensation has not yet been disclosed but plans are far advanced in addressing this challenge before the project comes into full force in September, this year (2020).

The project has a 52-months duration period and when completed, will have irrigation, electricity and a host of other components to propel economic growth in the country.
