Coastal Development Authority donates 30,000 face masks, sanitisers to VRCC

The Coastal Development Authority (CoDA) has donated 30,000 face masks and two thousand bottles of hand sanitisers to the Volta Regional Coordinating Council (VRCC) for onward distribution to identifiable groups in the region in support of efforts to stem the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Agency has rolled out a plan to produce and distribute thousands of face masks and hand sanitisers to target groups in six regions under its jurisdiction to aid the fight against the pandemic.

The target groups include commercial drivers, traders, fisherfolk, disability groups among others.

Presenting the items in Ho, the Deputy Director of the Authority, Bob Charles Agbontor noted that the initiative is to ensure that the citizenry, especially the vulnerable groups, are protected against the pandemic.
