President Akufo-Addo has expressed confidence in the security agencies to deal ruthlessly with Separatists in the Volta Region, seeking to secede from Ghana.
The Volta Region has seen some disturbances from the Secessionists known as the Western Togoland Restoration Front, who have orchestrated two separate incidents resulting in the death of one person and damage to property.
Speaking for the first time on the incident, President Akufo-Addo said the matter is being handled with utmost urgency.
Speaking on a Kumasi-based Radio Station, President Akufo-Addo said he has hesitated in commenting on the matter to ensure that the country does not panic in the face of the riots.
