IGP orders probe into use of Police vehicle in political campaign

The Ghana Police Service has condemned recent videos and pictures circulating about people in some political party colours rallying around in Police vehicles.

A statement issued by the Director of Public Affairs, Superintendent Sheila Abayie Buckman, said the Police Administration does not sanction such acts and that the Inspector General of Police, James Oppong Boanuh, has ordered the Police Professional Standards Bureau, to investigate the matter and bring culpable officers to book.

The statement said the Police is committed to doing its work without any partiality.
