Ghana drawn against Nigeria, Ivory Coast for WAFU ‘B’ qualifying tournament

Ghana will face winners of the last WAFU U17 Qualifying tournament Nigeria and Cote D’Ivoire in the Group stage of this year’s competition.

At a virtual Draw held in Abidjan on Tuesday morning, the Black Starlets were placed in Group B alongside their familiar foes.

Nigeria, who went on after winning the zonal competition to place fourth at the 2019  U-17 AFCON, were drawn bye for Tuesday’s live draw.

Tournament hosts Benin who were also drawn bye will face Niger, Burkina Faso and Togo.

The tournament which was earlier scheduled for November will now be staged between  December 5-20, 2020.
