A Senior Lecturer, University of Ghana Business School Professor, Lord Mensah says Ghanaians should be ready for more borrowing considering the country’s budget deficit.
He said this is due to the pandemic and the elections ahead in December.
Reacting to the budget presented to parliament Wednesday, October 28, Professor Mensah told GBC’s George Ankrah that government should look at reducing or closing the deficit gap by raising up revenue.
He said due to excess borrowing to finance development projects, the public should be ready to pay more taxes.
