A medical doctor at the Ridge Hospital, Dr. Emmanuel Addipa-Adapoe, has cautioned Ghanaians not to relent in observing the safety protocols of the coronavirus because the virus is still mutating.

Speaking to Radio Ghana on whether Ghana is ready for a second wave of Covid-19 Dr. Addipa Addapoe said Ghana may not be ready if active cases go up because of limited equipment in health facilities.

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ghana AIDS Commission will roll-out HIV self-testing and other innovative strategies to get infected persons onto treatment to prevent further spread.

Director General of the Commission, Kyeremeh Atuahene said ending AIDS by 2030 is feasible with a renewed commitment from stakeholders.

Mr. Atuahene was speaking in Accra at the launch of activities marking World AIDS Day which falls on the 1st of December this year
