President Akufo-Addo accepts Martin Amidu’s resignation

President Akufo-Addo has accepted Mr Martin Amidu’s resignation as Special Prosecutor by letter dated Monday, 16th November, 2020.

The Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Osei-Opare in a letter issued on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, said “the President has taken due note of the other matters raised by the Special Prosecutor in his letter of resignation, and the presidency will issue a detailed response to them shortly”.

The President has also directed the Chief of Staff to contact Mr. Martin Amidu to resolve all outstanding matters consequent upon his resignation.

President Akufo-Addo thanked Mr. Martin Amidu for his service to the country, and wished him well in his future endeavours.
