Bagre Dam spillage: NADMO to provide relief items to affected residents of Bawku West

The almost 400 residents of the Bawku West District in the Upper East region whose farms and property were destroyed as a result of the spillage of the Bagre Dam are to expect relief items by the end of the week.

The residents who were hardest hit by the spillage lost large tract of farm lands. However weeks after the spillage they have not received any relief items from National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), leaving them stranded.

In an interview with GBC’s Radio Ghana, the Regional NADMO Director Jerry Asamani, said the residents may not have been captured in the initial assessment however the items will be made available to them in the next few days.
