A Governance Expert, Dr. Eric Oduro-Osae says the reasons given by Martin Amidu for his resignation as Special Prosecutor are not justifiable.
This is because the law establishing the office of the Special Prosecutor gave adequate protection and autonomy to Mr. Amidu.
Dr. Oduro-Osae called for a cease fire on the matter, to enable the Deputy Special Prosecutor to proceed with crucial activities such as recruitment of staff.
Dr. Oduro-Osae said Martin Amidu performed creditably during his tenure as Ghana’s first Special Prosecutor.
