The Ghanaian Times appeals to both minority and majority caucuses to cooperate in the national interest devoid of partisanship to resolve the impasse between them. The paper urges all Ghanaians to be optimistic about the New year and adopt a positive attitude towards national development to make the country a better place for all. Meanwhile, as the year draws to a close, the Times expresses gratitude to its cherished readers for their sheer patronage throughout the year. The paper says it appreciates feedback from its readers and will continue to rely on them to improve its content in the coming years, as well as help shape national discourse to better lives. The Times urges Ghanaians to keep adhering to the safety protocols during this festive season as new strains of COVID-19 have been identified. The Paper commends President Akufo-Addo for keeping in touch with citizens with regular broadcasts on how to keep safe during the pandemic.

The Daily Graphic urges the Ghana Education Service to conduct the upcoming placement exercises smoothly. It asks that parents must accept the schools where their children are placed, to avoid confusion that usually characterizes the process. The Paper advises the GES to accept changes in placement only on medical or humanitarian grounds, and not because the candidate has been placed in an unpopular school. It says it is about time managers of education put their foot down and insist that students remain where they are placed.
