Algerian President, Abdel Madjid Tebboune has given assent to the country’s new constitution, months after it was approved in a referendum.
In April 2019, protesters demanded reforms that forced former President,Abdel Aziz Bouteflika out of power.
President, Tebboune, who returned to the country last week after spending two months in Germany for treatment forCOVID 19, has described the new charter as meeting the demands of protesters.
