The Acting Registrar of the Medical and Dental Council, Divine Banyugbala, has confirmed that the two Doctors who were suspected to have engaged in the illegal act of “Baby harvesting” are registered Doctors under the Medical and Dental Council.
He however emphasized that the illegal acts happened at their private hospitals. Mr Banyugbala stressed that the two doctors will be sanctioned according to the Ethics of the Medical and Dental Council. The sanctions may include revocation of their licenses.
Mr. Banyugbala said the mother of one of the Babies is currently being questioned at EOCO.
