The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection says it is still collaborating with stakeholders including the Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit, DOVVSU UNFPA, Department of Social Welfare and others to assist victims of sexual and domestic abuse or violence.

Speaking on behalf of the ministry, Director of Research Information Management, Efua Ayanful, during the launch of the Boame App and Orange Support Centre in Accra, indicated that violent atrocities against women and especially girls affect the development agenda since those affected cannot dully contribute their quota to national development.

She, therefore, noted that with the support Centre now in place more priority will be placed to end gender and domestic based violence.
