The National Measles Rubella Follow up and Vitamin A Campaign has been launched in Kyirapatre in the Asokwa Municipality in Ashanti Region with a call on Ghanaians to spread the immunization message for active participation.
The theme for the campaign is “Measles and Rubella kill; Vaccinate your child Now for Good life.”
The six-day exercise is to see children from nine months to five years vaccinated to prevent them from contracting measles.
According to the Ghana Health Service Health Promotion Department, measles is a dangerous disease which kills or disables children.
